Doepfer MAQ sequencing an ARP Odyssey. Drums are KORG ESX-1. Live line-level recording.
Korg ARP Odyssey module sequenced by Doepfer MAQ. Delay effect is a Line 6 Echo Pro. Drums are samples on a Korg ESX. The duophonic nature of the Odyssey can make for some interesting sequences. In this patch I ran 2 separate C Major note series through one MIDI channel.
Grendel RA-9 Grenadier triangle wave through a WMD Geiger Counter and back into the Grenadier for filtering. This then goes out into an AniModule DDVCA modulated by a WMD MME for an "acid" type bassline. Sequencing by a Future Retro ORB. Drums are programmed by an Antimatter Audio Launch Codes. Line-level recording.
The Korg SQ-1 sequencer pairs very well with the Rare Waves DC-2e. Here is a basic sequence and the DC-2e low-pass gate is triggered by the SQ-1. Harvestman Double Andore MK2 as VCA/output. Delay is a Line 6 Echo Pro.
Another patch using the Harvestman Double Andore as VCA's and a WMD/SSF MMF as an extra filter out on the output. Also using a JHS Pedals chorus and Line 6 Echo pro for some delay.
The main oscillator you hear is an Intellijel Dixie sine wave run through an Antimatter Sub-ring to add white noise and (eventually) some sub-oscs. The DC-2e is run into one half of the Double Andore which is cross modding it's other half to get distorted, ring-mod type of timbres. The filter is a WMD/SSF MMF. The output delay is a Line 6 Echo pro. No sequencers were used, only gates and a quantizer. Line-level live recording.
Melody using gates and a sample & hold module (no sequencer). The DC-2e has a very "beefy" sound, very alive and untamed, due to the oscillators and resonant filters. There is a little reverb added from an Eventide Space. Line-level, recorded live.
