A 4-voice melodic sequence by the Vermona PerFourMer and 2 Doepfer MAQ's and one FutureRetro Orb. Also used was a Roland RE-20 delay and Pittsburgh Modular Verbtronic for effects.
Four voices in E Major. The first two heard are from the PerFourMer and have some analog chorus (JHS Emperor pedal) and some Moog drive from a MURF pedal, pinging around through a delay. The "pad" sound is from an EHX Superego pedal, modified to accept trigger CV's. It is triggered by a G8 clock divider (eurorack). Eventide Space "blackhole" effect is used. Finally the high pitched voice is the microbrute sequenced by a Future Retro Orb, into a Roland RE-20 delay.
My attempt at a sound effect scene: The sounds a person might hear while sitting on a porch in North Dakota during wind-swept conditions. The "wind" is 2 noise voices from the PerFourmer, panned left and right so they sweep around. The "wind chimes" are a PerFourmer square wave sequenced by the Doepfer MAQ, running through a Modcan Dual Frequency Shifter (which gives it the windchime tube sound) then through a clocked delay from the Disting euro module.
Every now and then there is a "hawk" screeching in the distance. This "hawk" is a square wave FM'd by a fast S/H LFO. It also goes through an Echorec pedal delay.
All the sounds go through an Eventide Space for some ambience.
The slower, low notes are 2 PerFourMer square wave channels synced, with one of them going through a Wombtone phaser. The other voices are PerFourMer sine waves, one of which is waveshaped by an Expert Sleepers Disting module. Effects used are RE-20, Echorec, and Space. Microbrute also in the mix as another voice. Sequencers are Doepfer MAQ x2 and Future Retro ORB.
A quick capture of this nice patch. All synth sounds from the PerFourMer with white noise being processed by the microbrute as "percussion." The "kick" drum is an AniModule SOB filter in self-oscillation that is triggered by a clock divider and sequential switch combo. Effects are: Eventide Space, JHS Emperor chorus, Echorec, RE-20, and Meet Maude delay. The tune is in the Dorian mode in C.
This patch pretty much runs itself. The rhythm noise is from the PerFourMer into the MURF, into the RE-20 for delay. Effects used: Meet Maude delay (on first sequence you hear), Roland SE-20, Moog MURF, JHS Emperor chorus, Eventide Space. Voices: Microbrute, PerFourMer. Sequencers: 2x Doepfer MAQ, Future Retro ORB, EHX 8-step.
2 sets of 2 analog sine waves from the PerFourmer ring modulating each other, one panned left, the other panned right. The sequences are offset pendulums in e minor scale. Percussion is noise from a WMD Geiger Counter processed by a Microbrute filter and Wombtone phaser.
